Fan Base is a psychological thriller by Jane Hartsock. And this is one you won't want to miss.
It starts out like any slightly steamy romance. Babs, who lost her husband three years earlier to an accident and then loses her job due to her lackluster performance while grieving, meets Austin Lewis. Meets again, actually. Their one-day fling 25-years earlier has always stayed in the back of her mind. Austin was a teen heart-throb. Babs was unfazed by this fact. They met. They connected. She quickly moved on, became a lawyer, married, and had two children. Austin's fame waned, but he found the business side of Hollywood and moved forward. When they reconnect in a coffeeshop, it seems like fate. Soon, Babs learns of the Lewnatics - a group of super fans who continue to follow and harrass Austin. And now, the Lewnatics are after her. To make matters worse, her sister, Margot, is part of this crazy group. As things heat up - both in the bedroom and with the crazies - Babs wonders who she can trust. But you can trust me - the ending will leave your mouth gaping! A Manor, a Legacy, and an Ancient Key: Suspense Across Generations with Author Jennifer E Tirrell
Today, I am thrilled to share an insightful conversation I had with the talented Jennifer E. Tirrell, author of the captivating novel, Jane's Secret. It was a delight to chat with Jennifer about her work, her creative process, and the fascinating story behind her debut novel.
Murder by the Book is a cozy mystery by Shannon Symonds. And although it is cozy, it certainly isn't quiet and orderly! Ivy, not so lovingly called Ms. Marple by the town's police chief, is a self-identified murder magnet. She can sniff out a murder even when others only see a coincidence or accident - and so far, she hasn't been wrong.
She is headstrong and lovable and completely real with a backstory full of issues. This is book two in the series, and I read it without reading the first one without feeling like I missed out. However, I now want to go back and get her backstory in full - and I'm sure you will, too. There are several other amazing characters you won't want to miss. Her boss, Xander, and his mother Rhoda, Anderson, Aggie, Conner, Charlotte, Brett, and the list goes on and on. It's a whole town filled with people you'll want to get to know. Shannon did a great job creating believable characters while keeping the story moving quickly through the mystery. It's a fun read you won't want to miss.
