Shade's loyal dog companion adds an extra layer of warmth and intrigue, making the narrative even more compelling. The book offers a blend of familiar fantasy themes but with a unique twist that sets it apart in the genre.

During our conversation, JF shared her deep-seated love for fantasy, a genre that captured her imagination from a young age. From C.S. Lewis to Tolkien, fantasy has been a realm where she finds comfort and inspiration, ultimately motivating her to craft her own stories.

The Intriguing Genesis of a Trilogy

JF Monroe's journey to creating a trilogy began unexpectedly during her maternity leave. A spark of inspiration from a film led her to explore the concept of the Four Horsemen as human vessels. This curiosity propelled her into researching the mythology behind these enigmatic figures, culminating in a narrative that transformed from a script to a full-fledged trilogy.

Crafting Characters with Depth

One of the most intriguing characters you'll meet in "The Legendary Guardians: Reunions" is Laz, the sin of Sloth. JF Monroe describes him as a character she thoroughly enjoyed writing. His laid-back demeanor amidst chaos offers a refreshingly different perspective and brings humor and depth to the story.

Like many writers, she identifies as a "panster," allowing the story to unfold naturally rather than meticulously plotting every detail in advance.
