This week, I had the absolute pleasure of diving deep into the world of mystery writing with author Karen E. Osborne, whose latest novel, Justice for Emerson, completely captivated me. If you love character-driven mysteries with heart, compassion, and unexpected twists, this book needs to be on your reading list.
What fascinated me most about our conversation was Karen's refreshingly honest approach to writing. Karen's approach to weaving social issues like homelessness, addiction, and racial dynamics into her narrative was particularly compelling. Her characters feel real, complex, and wonderfully human.
