Jane's Secret is more than a typical historical fiction; it’s a rich tapestry of mystery, romance, and generational legacy. Jennifer describes her novel as a story that spans generations, urging readers to explore the power of leaving behind a legacy and the stories that future generations might uncover within their own family histories.

A Blend of Genres
Remarkably, Jane's Secret merges elements of Christian fiction, historical drama, romance, and mystery. Jennifer coined herself an “organic writer” or a “pantser,” writing without a strict genre in mind but rather allowing the story to evolve naturally. She shares her approach of letting the story flow, ensuring it captivates the reader without unnecessary fluff, keeping them turning the pages.

Family Roots
The story for Jane's Secret has its roots in Jennifer's own family history. After losing her parents at a young age and later reclaiming her birth name Tirrell, Jennifer explored her lineage, discovering connections to her ninth great-grandmother, Jane Ingleton Tirrell. These personal ties add a layer of authenticity and heart to the novel, merging facts with creative license to weave a compelling story.
