​Teri M. Brown is an award-winning American novelist, inspirational speaker, and podcast host dedicated to exploring the raw, unfiltered corners of the human experience. Transitioning from a successful career in business content writing to fiction after winning the 2017 Anita Bloom Ornoff Award, her deeply empathetic, character-driven narratives have earned dozens of prestigious literary prizes.

Brown focuses her stories on universal themes of resilience, generational family conflict, and personal reinvention, creating beautifully flawed characters that mirror everyday realities. An avid adventurer, she famously completed a grueling 3,102-mile cross-country tandem bicycle trek to raise funds for charity—a journey that heavily fuels her creative philosophies on grit, determination, and teamwork.

As the host of the Online for Authors podcast, Brown actively mentors aspiring writers, speaks at national literary events, and delivers motivational talks on overcoming midlife challenges. She continues to connect deeply with an expansive global audience through authentic, plain-spoken prose.

About the Illustrator

Lorri D. Perini is a mixed-media artist with a passion for bringing stories to life through vibrant color and imaginative detail. With a background in watercolor and acrylic painting, she has created numerous works that capture the beauty of the world around her. This book marks her first professional venture into digital illustration, blending her love for traditional techniques with new creative frontiers.
